Traction problems :(
Hi,
I got a MY98 last week. She is fitted with technomagnsio detroit F1's (thanks to all who helped me identify them!), anyway, a few years ago I had a scoob on standard speedlines shod in lovely bridgestones and the handling was great.
With these alloys on, and with rubbish rubber (kumyo on front and marshal on rear) the handling leaves a lot to be desired, more of a drift car!
Just venting, I know I need new rubber....
....just need to save a few pennies.
Any advice on good rubber and best size for 18" for handling and clearance inside standard arches?
Thanks,

I ran 18"s on my old MY00 classic with 215/35/18 toyo proxis in both T1-S and T1-R form and had no problems with rubbing even with eibachs fitted. Handling was very good on both but I did prefer the T1-S's slightly more as the T1-R's tended to slide a tiny bit more on damp roads . Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's have been recommended to me and these are going to be my next purchase of rubber.
The best prices on the internet I have found are from.......
www.mytyres.co.uk or
www.tyretraders.com
Both seem to have very similar prices but I can highly recommend mytyres.co.uk having bought from these twice before with no problems.
Hope this is of help,
Mike
