rear discs/help

just had my rear discs changed myself got a mate to do them for me and all he done was screwed 2 bolts in 2 the holes in the disc and as he tightend them up the discs just poped off dont kno if this will help you ?

Looking from the rear diff, at the bottom of the backing plate there is a rubber grommet. Remove that and wiggle a screwdriver in the hole and rotate what looks like a gearwheel and you should be able to wind off the handbrake shoes.

Remember to let the handbrake down with the 2 10mm nuts under the centre consol.I forgot to and when I took the disc off the brake shoes fell apart Doh.
I also managed to break the strut which holds the shoes apart.After trailing round scrapyards I found the part I needed but ended up having to rebuild the shoes.On the plus side I now know how to strip and rebuild the complete braking system sometimes the only way to learn.Follow this link will give you the info needed.
