Default OEM Sti 7 Offset

I've been looking into this - and there a LOADS of posts on it regarding the fact that an Sti 7 would need ET 46 in order to clear the latger brembos.

Question is what is the offset of the OEM rims are they in fact a 53 with the necessary spoke design to clear the brembos or are they an ET 46 too?

I have a set of these, and i'm pretty sure they are ET53.

people get carried away with the offset but this has no bearing on the caliper!!

its simply wether the wheel your looking at is machined correctly for enough clearance to accept the BREMBO caliper..................

Cheers Normski!

Alyn - the reason I ask is not really to do with the calipers as such as I run a a set of "mighty" 4 pots on my v3 Sti - I'm only interested as the further you deviate from the OEM offset (52.5 I think on mine) as I don't want to load up the wheel bearings any more than necessary or affect handling. My other concern is of course wheel arch clearance...

around 5-10mm deviation will normally be fine (strut/wheel clearances allowing)
