If so, can you tell me why there's a huge delay on getting hold of Goodyear F1 215/40/17's ???

Anyone ?? I've tried phoning Goodyear for an explanation, but that was pretty useless.

Delay, what delay?

Ordered 4 of said tyres through my local tyre fitters (Jem Tyres in Bolton, Greater Manchester - phone 01204 571428 and ask for Ashley) on Friday afternoon; they received them saturday morning from their suppliers and fitted them at 2:00 pm for £400 all in.

They did mention that they are on "special offer" at the moment, so distributors might have run out if there has been an increase in demand.

Theres no shortage of F1 at the moment, try another supplier. A large proportion of UK performance tyres get imported from Europe and bypass the official UK distribution channels. That might explain why your tyre distributer who buys directly from Goodyear UK cant get them whilst everyone else can!
