Fitted brake pads, just checking........
hi all, never done them b4 so just wondering....
the rear ones seem to be pretty much pressed up against the disc, whereas the front ones hav a gap, is this right?
also just took it for a quiet drive, and brakes feel next to useless, are they bedding in?
and i wanted to change discs at same time, but both nuts are abit too tight for my puny arms! any recommendations or is it garage visit reqd?
thanks, ben.

Ben, most pads take a while to bed in, and you shopuld not judge the feel yet deu to that fact.
What 'two nuts'??? the front discs are not ehld on with any nuts, they should just knock/fall off when the wheel caliper and pads are out of the way........
Whick ones did you want to change... front or rear...??

changing both front & rear Ron. had a look in workshop manual and it said to remove 2 nuts on back, at side of caliper. theyre probably the ones holding the caliper on tbh, but they were well stuck.
thanks for the reply.
thanks for the reply.
the bolts that hold the caliper on are 'king tight. my advice would be to get the longest bar you can get and lean (remember that counter clockwise undoes). they will budge. when you're putting them back lean just as hard as you wouldn't want your calipers coming of now would you?
