Default Which is best?

Need some sticky tyres and at the moment i am looking at the toyo r888.
The thing is there are two sizes avalible. The first being 205 40 17 and the second 215 45 17, there is nearly 200 pounds diference in the two...

Which would work better the tyre with less roll due to the 40 wall or the tyre with more roll but 5mm wider tread ?

Cheers
Neil

Derpends slightly on what width rim you're using, if it's a 7 inch rim, i'd say the 205's...... if it's a 7.5 rim, the 215's....

Only my thoughts though, also, the 40's will give slightly different gearing due to the lower sidewall... size differences can be checked here.. http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html

Good point, Im pritty sure its a 7" rim but i will wait to check and i think that will decide wich tyre to go with. still cant beleve its 200 pounds difference in the two.
