Question Best Polish / Protective Wax for Alloys

I've just ordered some new alloys, and was wondering whats the best thing to put on my alloys to protect them.

Anybody?

Autoglym have recently introduced Alloy Wheel Treatment which you apply to your wheel with a cloth. Once applied it apparently makes your wheels a doddle to clean as it seals them. My neighbour has used it on a Saab with great results. I applied it 2 weeks ago and am washing tomorrow so watch this space. Other than that apply your polish of choice..

I just polish them up with AutoGlym polish (the red label stuff), then give them a coat of Simoniz hard wax. Same treatment as the rest of the car.

Saw that AutoGlym Alloy sealant stuff on saturday - will be interested to see your comments....

Good quality wax, something with plenty of carnuba in it. I use Meguairs stuff. The brake dust washes off easily. Re-apply after a few washes.

I use Simoniz hard wax as well, made sure wheels where clean before, then a good layer applied and now really easy to remove brake dust

The alloy wheel seal is awesome but you need to buff it off for best results. If you don't buff it you will find that it actually attracts more brake dust than normal but it is far easier to get off. I tend to just use lots of normal polish and wax.
