Default PFF7 refurbishment

Apologies if this is an old topic but a search was unfruitful. I've got badly scratched PFF7's, but no more than superficial damage. I tried to get them refurbished (powdercoated and laquered etc) and the wheel guy would not touch them. He said that he and most people would not take such a job on because when they put them in the oven to cure the powder coating that they crack!?! Apparently due to the high magnesium content of the alloy. Told me I'd have to settle for blasting then paint and laquer. Anyone got any experience/words of wisdom? Thanks in advance.
Hugh.

Talking PFF-7 refurb

I used chips away to repair curb damage to one of my wheels. It took them longer than normal to do because the colour match was difficult. it cost about £40 but the job was first class.
