You'll find a very limited choice of tyres in the 205/45/17 size.

If you have a look at 215/40/17, you'll find a much larger range and they give a similar rolling circumference.

PZeros are not my favourite tyre (in fact I dislike them especially in the wet and the dry grip was not great)

I'm a fan of Goodyear Eagle F1s, but I know people will recommend Toyo Proxies TS-1 but I don't like the levels of grip from them. Each to their own!

BTW I wouldn't mix PZeros with another brand of tyre, so I would highly recommend you change all four tyres!

Have a look at http://www.mytyres.co.uk for some proper bargains, but you will need to factor in another £40-50 for valves, balancing and fitting.

Probably worth getting your geometry checked out at the same time (as they are normally off from new, let alone after driving over speed bumps, parking on kerbs, etc)

It gives your car a slightly wider footprint and a slightly smaller tyre wall, but we are not talking a huge amount either way.

My previous cars on 17" wheels, I've always swapped them for 215/40/17 just to get the type of tyre I want.

The only difference you will notice is improved wet weather grip (and possibily dry weather grip) if you choose to not use PZeros!!!

Just got some 215/40 17 Toyo T1-S off ebay, £70 each delivered with next day delivery from Rochford Tyres in Essex
Mytyres.co.uk were doing them for £72 each delivered.

Don't forget inaccuracy of speedo readings with the incorrect tyre depth.
