Default BREMBO vs AP Much difference ??

Got a classic with new 4 pot 330MM AP'S on it and I love em. Thinking about getting a new shape STI wich comes with Brembos on.
Anyone tried both, never tried Brembo's will I be disappointed by them after the AP's as they are not grooved and dont have an ally bell. Thanks, Daz

judging by what others have said yes, put it this way, the guy that runs/ran (dunno) scoobymania took the brembo's off as soon as he got his new sti...... saves a LOT of weight too!!!!

the std STi Brembo calipers are a mass production design caliper, although reasonable they are not anything like the pukka AP offerings (or Brembo's own race type stuff)
depends on how "hard" you use them to be fair.................

It's not so much the caliper that I was worried about, as this is similar in size to the AP one, (4 pot) so maybe similar power?
The brembo discs don't have a seperate ally bell, or grooves so I wondered if they could handle the heat as well? Mostly its the confidence and power they give that I was after an insight on though. Cheers, Daz

the caliper unfortunately is exactly what you need to worry about as its far bigger and has various heat retention problems, the discs to be fair (although end up being a problem) are not too bad in isolation.................
