Default brakes binding/rubbing on right handers

when turning right in my 93 wrx i hear the brakes rubbing only turning right though fine on left hand, been getting worse over the week, its this likely to be a warped disc or possibly something else, if so what, i didnt know if this was a common fault as i havent owned a impreza before so know very little about them,

From: West Sussex-Scoob stripped :( Hello Audi A6 4.2V8 Quattro :)
Question

xvw

Does this rubbing always happen when you turn the car, or does it also happen when your driving in a straight line, if it only happens when turning, then it might be your wheel bearings, if your brakes were rubbing then you would hear it all the time !!!!!!
Can you describe the noise ???? , also have you changed the gearbox oil and the rear diff oil lately, I'm about to do mine as I'm getting a constant drone from my car but in a straight line and I think I've narrowed it down to the gearbox bearings or the rear diff bearings.
Kev.

only rubbing on right handers slow or fast, its silent in a straight line or left handers,i did wonder if it was the wheel bearing but its not noisy, if it was a wheel bearing what one would it be O.S or N.S

Even if the bearings are ok, you can get a lot of play through wear in the hub carriers.

Do you get any pad knock off making the brake pedal lengthen it's travel ?

Default brakes sticking

it may well be your handbrake pads.while turning at a safe and slow speed slowly pull the handbrake and see if the noise changes. also feel the temp of the wheels (not tyre)after a bit of a run. you may find one wheel feeling a bit warm. if so thats most likely the brake thats binding. it is on mine anyway...heh heh damned annoying i say George damned annoying.

sounds like wheel bearing to me
if you brake gently while turning does the noise get less or go away?
if its on right bends it'd be the left hand bearing
