I can vouch for Beario's Rota SDR's having seen them on Monday, after just getting some Rota Tarmac2's from him. They looked much more like the PFF7 than the one's on Ebay - finish is superb.

Pretty sure that pic he's using on Ebay (The one of the wr blue Impreza) was posted on here by a Scoobynet member a while ago and I reckon that they're genuine PFF7's fitted to that car (Even though he's sellin replicas)

Many complaints in Nasioc about the Rotas and their strength!

Just looked at NASIOC to see what problems people are having with Rota's - all the problems seem to be with Sub-zeros & Attacks, many in autocross conditions. Also seems to be a number of people saying they've had similar failures with other brands as well. Didn't see any mention of problems with SDR's.

I was thinking more of the strength over severe potholes and maybe taking a curb on a track day.
I had last year some "aftermarket-unknown-brand" wheels with race tyres (as a spare set) and I buckled all 4 wheels in 1 trackday !!!!
Imagine what will happen when you buckle a front wheel, that rips off your AP caliper and damage the ABS sensor-driveshaft-discs and so on...

The cost to repair that is xxx-times higher then the money that you keep when buying cheap-replica wheels.

Original for me, always from then on...

I've buckled O.Z's in the past, maybe due to over doin it a bit but they "bent" all the same!!!

Agree, but it is a fact that brands like OZ, BBS, VOLKL and so are much better resistant to "trashing" then cheap aftermarket wheels that you can pick up for a fraction of the real thing.
There must be someting in it otherwise they would'nt be so cheap.

Not that I **** off all cheap wheels, it's just that I expierienced it myself in the past with some real looking BBS replica's.

Heat transfer from brakes can also bent the wheels in extreme conditions even if you don't believe it, those who race can confirm it!

For people who know the 'Ring : I "attacked" Adenauner Forst completely wrong with my Astra GSI 16v (a few years back), not because I'm a crappy driver, , but to save a biker that has gone down.
Result was a broken front suspension, buckled drive shaft and lot's more, but the BBS wheels survived it with minor damage.

Correct 100%, I had a case with a big pothole and neither the 18" SuperL"s or my Pilot sport IIs had any problem (so far) but usualy have more than 34-35 psi front pressures!
