Default Best Brake Setup for <£1k

Cant find any info but would be interested to hear what people use as a modded brake setup for MY99, i've been toying with the wilwood 6 pots from the states but have never heard of this kit before, the AP's are just a bit too expensive!!!

Depends on what your driving will be - fast road, track, competition, etc..

At £600, the Godspeed kit is excellent value and uses your original Subaru 4-pot calipers. Comes with large rotors (335mm), seperate alloy bells and larger pads. You'll need to add braided hoses and some good quality brake fluid to the package. There's a group buy being arranged if you're interested in them.

Ian Godspeed also does a kit with new calipers. Depending on price, you can start with Brembo but he'll do AP too although that'll no doubt go way past the £1000 budget.

I don't think you'll get a large kit with new calipers for less than £1K unless you buy abroad or 2nd-hand. Stoptech are another, but they're just over £1K new.

APs are the absolute daddies and thats why they are so expensive.

Wilwood are meant to be pretty good - a few people from here had them on their scoobs

The wilwood calipers do not have dust seal as they are a racing caliper , it has plastered all over the boxes ' not intended for road use ' , so are not suited for road use

You can get a Brembo kit well under your budget in the group buy going on
