Tool for measuring disc consistency?
Basically to check if they are warped or not.
About a month back I replaced my front discs as the previous were cracked. Didnt change the pads as they had some life left in them so I thought I'll see how they go....not very well really, am getting brake vibration when on the brakes at high speed. Also a slight imbalance left/right which is probably down to uneven pads. Just want to check the discs are okay before fitting new pads.

A dial gauge will show amount of runout, you will need a stand to hold it. Suggest using magnetic stand clampled to leg

Did you carefully clean all the crud away from the mating surfaces on the hubs before you stuck the discs up against them?
You only need a tiny high spot & the disc will not sit flush & will give the feeling of being warped.
Mark.

Took the car to ATS who checked them using a dial gauge (for free). One was around 3 deg out and the other was 4.
I assuming that the pads have screwed the discs.
Moral of the story: Dont try and take shortcuts. Replace both discs and pads at the same time.
Its going to cost me an extra £100 because of this mistake.
As a last ditch attempt I will take discs off and clean the hub. I did do this when I changed them but maybe wasnt good enough.
Thanks for your help guys.
