Do you not rate the Toyos? Loads of people including myself run these and will probably have some more.
If you don't like them then the Scoobynet fave rubber is the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD-3

The Goodyears have a slightly different compound and feel different throught the steering wheel than the Toyo's.

There's very little difference in grip in dry or wet IMO though, but for the small amount of cash between the 2 tyres, if you've not tried the Goodyears yet, it's probably worth you having a go just to see what you think on your car!

MyTyres tend to be around the best for cost, depending on where you are in the country

I was quoted £107 by kwik Fit for Eagle F1s in 205/40/17. They'd never heard of Toyo Proxes though.

I've been told (probably lies) that a Pirelli P7000 is meant to be the best, used for fast/raced impreza's. Sounds like sh*t to me?

Er, don't pay £81 yet......if you can wait a few days, may be able to put you on to a supplier retailing them for £66.50 each, inc. vat, plus £10 delivery, that's for 215/40/17 Toyos. So stunned by this price I want to hold him to it before I commit to getting everyone else too excited.

I have just bought 4 off 215/40/17 Toyo TS1's for £270 inc P&P. This works out as £65 per tyre and £10 P&P for the set.

I found the company (Leigh Tyres) from ebay, you can order through ebay or get their phone number from their on line shop and give them a call. My tyres arrived within two days, most arrive the next day.
