Question

Can anyone tell me the prices of replacement discs and pads for the Prodrive (Alcon?) kit?

I'm considering the upgrade but have heard nasty rumours regarding the prices...

Simon

discs around £750 set & pads £200. The discs are 1 unit c/w bells were as ap discs are seperate so once the inital set is brought, discs at £300 (i think) is a less painfull outlay.

cheers simon

Plus another £200 for a set of DS3000 if you want to go on the track!

Add on the cost of braided hoses because they don't come with the kit.

Simon, I'm getting them too soon. As I see you live in the Swindon area, perhaps we can join forces and get a discount?

Question

Which kit are you talking about ?

I bought a set of standard size Prodrive Alcon discs for a MY98 and they cost me about £280. I put on Mintex 1155's that cost about another £120 and they work fine.

Got them from Roger Clark Motorsport in Leicester 01455 828 610.

Alistair, I think they are talking about the £1700 Alcon kits. But IMHO if you wanna keep your warranty they Subaru will shaft you, as in this case.

Thumbs up

Thanks the replies guys. Doesn't seem as bad as I thought: I did think it was going to be £700 every time I needed new discs!!!

Alistair - the kit I'm refering to is the Prodrive kit with calipers etc etc.

medders - I'll bear it in mind although I'm still sniffing around all the other different upgrades (17"s - obviously, PPP etc) at the moment too.
