Default Brake 'judder' problem

Have noticed a problem on my Scoob with quite serious vibrations under braking, but only sometimes?? Cant narrow it down at all, doesnt matter if its light or heavy braking. When it does happen I can barely keep hold of the steering wheel. Any ideas??? Its going in for a service soon anyway so will ask them to look at it.

Check for uneven pad deposits on the disc. Only real way of checking the discs themselves is to have them measured or replaced (last bit's expensive if it doesn't work).

Are you using standard sized discs? Are they OEM?

See the current thread on warped Pagids - this sounds like the same problem. If you can do a search there's loads on fixing this. Basically you need to wear the uneven deposits off your discs.

ARE THE DISCS PAGID AND WHERE DID YOU GET THEM FROM? BECAUSE I HAD THEM ON MY CAR LAST YEAR BRAND NEW AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS RUNNING THEM IN, YOU HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL. THE GUY WHO PUT THEM ON WHIZZED IT DOWN THE ROAD AND CAME BACK AND SAID THE BRAKE JUDDER IS STILL THERE. ENDED UP PUTTING NO END OF PARTS ON THE CAR. IN THE END I WENT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SUBARU PARTS AND THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED. THIS SOUNDS EXACTLY THE SAME THAT I HAD UNDER BRAKING WHEN THE BRAKES ARE WARM. THE WAY TO TEST THEM IS DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD, MAKE SURE NOTHING BEHIND YOU, LEFT FOOT BRAKE NOT TOO HARD JUST TO GET THE BRAKES REAL HOT. THE JUDDER WILL START, TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF COOL THE BRAKES DOWN AND SEE IF IT JUDDERS. YOU CAN EASILY TURN THE JUDDER ON AND OFF DEPENDING ON HOW HOT THE BRAKES GET.

Here's the confusion. I have read a few people have had replacement discs sent to them due to this problem. Yet there are others who are saying it's definately brake dust build up on the discs?
