Question

Sorry if this goes over old groung but bit of a newbie to brakes.

Everyone seems to rate the AP brakes, but they're not cheap! How do the MY01 brakes stack up in comparison & is it worth converting just for road use?

Do insurance co.s charge you more for brake mods?

Exclamation

Brakes on my MY01 are adequate (just)on the road and totally inadequate on the track.

Was going to go for AP 6 pots but Pete Croney convinced me (just...) to go for his Brembo/AP setup instead (which cheaper), as 6 pots considered too on/off for the road, especially in the wet.

Brembos are on order, should be here next week....

Re insurance, depends on your insurer and how well you present your case!

Talking

Hi DT,
Im also looking into upgading my MY01 brakes.
So far looked at Prodrive upgrade and Scoobysport Brembo 4 pots. After talking to Pete Croney think i will be going for his brakes plus Leda suspension (also been sucked in by the wallet magnet )

simon.
