Question

My Legacy RS currently has wheels that are marked 17 x 7 JJ 53 on the inside of one spoke, so I'm assuming this relates to a 53mm offset. Does anyone know what offsets are acceptable on a Legacy, because I see a lot of wheels with 45 or 48 offsets and wonder whether they'd fit. Need new wheels because the current ones were damaged by a monster pot hole and don't have any preference between 17s or 18s.

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,

With the ET48 offset, the wheels will stick out a further 5mm, and 8mm with the ET45 offset.

Worth getting a ruler out and measuring it to check clearance! On some Impreza's the ET45 offset will catch the rear arch. They did on mine!

As a side issue, the P1 wheels will have the correct offset (I think they are ET53, but not 100% sure)

Hope this helps
Andy
