Question

My P1 has just had its 7.5K service & the Dealer has told me the front pads need replacing (Prodive/Alcon 4 pots DS2000), at a cost of £268+vat for the pads ,I have phoned Prodrive and have been quoted £170.17 + vat for the pads.
Roger Clark Motorsport are quoting £99 +vat for DS2000 pads, Has anybody tried non-Subaru supplied Pads, and is a urban myth that the pad material is different on the non-Subaru supplied Pads??>

Thumbs down

Sounds like they want to rip you off
Pagid Blues from Scoobysport are cheaper!!
So too EBC Redstuff!!
All types of Mintex also!!
Most motor factors that are ferodo agents will get you these pads for a fraction of the cost
Cheers

Exclamation

The £99 price is probably for the std 4 pots, not the Alcon one. I can't remember what I paid from my dealer, but certainly wasn't £300
When phoning around make absolutely sure you are getting quoted for the right pad, I'm not sure if Pagid Blues come in right size for Alcons, will visit Pete Saturday to check (Got a spare set of DS2000's he can measure up if needs be)

Hi Badger

Try DS 4003 in your Alcons matey!

Much more bite initially than a 2000.. no fade, but without the dust/metal problems of a 3000.

and more

Can't imagine where you can get those from!!

Cheers
