Hi,
Iv'e just got some new (well 2nd hand) wheels, TSW Evo R's, 7x17 with an offset of 45 and 215/40 tyres. I know this offset is about at the limit of what the Impreza can take (standard is 53).

When there is just me in the car I can drive like a loony and nothing catches but when I'm 4 up there is an occaisonal rubbing (similar sound to a mud flap catching). How do I find out where it's catching? How do I fix it? (Apart from having no mates )

Richard

it will probably be catching on the rubber strip on the inside of the rear arches which can be removed. You can also get wheels machined to a better offset.

Cheers MRK - why didn't I think of that

I have looked 4 rubbing marks but can't see any. It only does it once in a while but I want it sorted ASAP - don't want to wait till I have wrecked a set of tyres.

Thumbs up

rjh,

Could be the size of tyre your using. I'm looking at getting a set of these wheels and the dealer told me TSW recommend using 205/45's.... Try changing to some Yoko's in this size or if on a budget go for the Falken's....
