Changing brake hoses
#1
Tried to change old flexible hoses at the weekend but I just COULD NOT undo the nearside passenger rigid to flexible joint, even with a proper brake spanner.
The rigid brake line looks like it is one LONG and expensive piece to replace.
Does this line have a joint before it hits the ABS box or can I cut it and put an extra joint in?
Anyone have ideas on how to unfreeze the union?
Your wisdom is much appreciated.

I had exactly the same on drivers side.
I'd go with WD40(loads of it), leave it overnight and try again, or if all else fails use mole grips.
It worked for me (just don't round off the Head)!!

You could soak the joint with WD40 to see if this helps then try tightening slightly before loosening the joint.
This usually breaks the hold the rust has on it.
