Matt,
You're obviously going too slow to be able to get 19k from a set of tyres! Try pushing that right pedal a bit harder and never mind 'er in doors screams.
Bridgestone S02's seem to be about the most rated tyres and from recent experience I can say they are just excellent. I know Bob has a set of P0's on his ex P1 wheels and says he'll change bak to S02's next. You are though looking at £500+ for a set to fit your wheels - 215/40/17
If you want something less expensive then try a set of Toyo proxies TS-1 (I think), from memory they can be had for around the £80 Tyre fitted/balanced etc - I've heard good reports of these tryes.
Don't know any tyre dealers in Bath - you could try Bathwick tyres ? Might be worth giving someone like Micheldever a ring as i've heard you could easily save the cost of the trip and more.
Regards
Steve.
