Having just taken my UK DBM MY99 in for its 18 month (22500 mile) service I received a phone call from my dealer informing me that my back tyres were worn, I had a big gash in the front nearside and only 2mm of tread left on my front offside.
Problem is, my car has only done 8300 miles! What tyre life are others out there seeing?
James.
PS. He then tried to sell me a Bridgestone tyre not as good as standard 16"'s for £100 a corner.
It was just the excuse I've been looking for to upgrade to 17" Superleggaras and SO2's.

Id say that's about right if they are RE010's, or similar, SO2's in 16" should be about £100+vat a corner.

Tyre life between 8-20K depends on how hard you drive, type of roads, track days etc.

Hi James,
Mileage on tyres is all about how you drive, providing all the geometry is correct. In my experience tyres can last for between 8000-20000 as a rule, however if you are thinking of upgrading then give me a call on 01604-588599 and I will try and get you the best price possible for the superleggara and SO2PP.
If all your geometry is correct, then you must drive your car on the absolute limit all the time.Good Man thats what they are for.
