Question

Guys, a boring question I know, but I can't get the dust from the mintex pads off my RB5 wheels, any good ideas? What about the clay bar from Wax wizard? I have tried Wheel gel and halford miracle wheels, took away the bulk but will not shift all of it.

I have always used neat car wash detergent - better than anything else . Spray it on , let it soak , give it a scrub with a small hand brush and rinse it off . That is what most car washers and valeting firms use .
If the dust is well baked on try some oven cleaner as brake dust is essentially carbon the same as what you find in an oven . BUT be careful with it and only use as a last resort as it could remove the lacquer from the wheel or bodywork .

You could try a bit of T Cut. Has worked for me when wheel cleaners wouldn't.

Clay bar will do it quickly and easily. I just had the same problem. I did see halfords selling one for £5 but I use Wax Wizards £20 I think

Hope this helps

Not wishing to sound like an advert for Mark, have you tried the wheel cleaner that Wax Wizard sells??

If that doesn't work, then it's the clay bar you need!!

Hope this helps

Wonder Wheels has always worked well for me.

I had Pagid blues on my car and the brake dust was worse than standard pads. This stuff just lifted it off.
