Yea i saw these in the new evo mag......very nice might get a set.

One thing is the ET 48 right for a scoob? Thought it needed something like ET 52.

16" 17" and 18"

As for the offset it seems anywhere from 45 to 52 appears to be offered for Scooby's. I would think the nearer 52 you can get the better but most seem to be around 48 to 50.

I will be getting some as soon a funds allow and will post up some Pic's

I would never make such a comment!!

I guess it depends on the colour of your car!

I don't have a problem with them, I just don't like them personally!

I can just about get away with them on my Sonic Blue STi.

Having said that, was quite impressed with the P1. Nice wheels on a Sonic Blue car...

Decisions, decisions.....

I have just spoken to Motorsport Wheels the importers and they have stock 7"x17", will be getting 18" soon. Nobody has ordered a set of either size yet. As for prices my local tyre place in Rochford has quoted £820+vat with 215/40x17 GoodYear F1 and £936+vat with 215/40x17 S02-PP. Also the only colour is Titanium (no gold etc )

I went to Autosport on Sunday also.

When I inquired about these wheels in 18" I was told that they would be available in May.

An important "detail" about this new wheel (17") is the weight: it is just between 7 - 7,5 kg; that makes it 2 kg less than f.e. the P1-17" wheel, and more than 2kg compared with most other wheels.

I have actually managed to find a dealler with one of these wheels on display, and yes they are light. I compared it with a Super T and the difference is really noticable. Still trying to get the best deal but will post pic when I get them done hopefully in next few weeks.

Well so the best quote so far is £800 +Vat with Toyo Proxes T1-s 215/40x17 .

Think I may go for this as I have Toyos at the moment and am very happy with them.

Its a new shop in West Street, Southend on Sea, Can't remember the name the phone number is 01702 333335. Guy's name is Nick (I think, tell him you spoke to me)

The deal was £800+vat for 7x17 with Toyo's 215/40x17. He could not do SO2-PP. This is about £100 quid cheaper than any other quote I managed to get.

Went to have a look at a set of these today, they are about half the weight of a normal set of 17's.

Gotta start saving the pennies.....

Sorry, it's still too early so here's a dumb question.

What's the correct offset for 17" on a MY00, and where can I get these from in the North?

Cheers,

Nick (requiring hand holding this morning)

I just picked up a set from Bath Road Tyres in Slough. ( part of PROtyre I think )

The price for a set of 4 fitted with 215/40 S02PP's was £1128 inc VAT. (£980 ex VAT)

They are currently ex stock at Oz, I ordered them yesterday and had them fitted today. First time I've used this company and they appeared pretty professional.

They can be contacted on 01753 571171 ask for Steve Evans or email on sales@bathroadtyres.co.uk

They look pretty good on a "cool grey" scoob

Wink

Guys

If you do get the 18" wheels, only fit Pirelli P-Zero's to them.

Apparently, these are the only 18" tyres available which will clear the wheel arches.

225/35ZR18 is the size fitted to the P1 18" wheels.

Regards
Kurt

Cool

Guys

the wheels are now on my car ...and looking VERY good indeed.Either I'm going paranoid or a lot more people are paying attention to my car !They look great with my brake calipers which are painted silver with Hammerite paint.

As Ian said above the wheels are Very light indeed. Before they were put on the car I held a "normal" 17 inch alloy in on hand and the Superleggera in the other and it was almost half the weight !

Transcal seem like a good outfit to deal with if you're North of the border ( no connection with them by the way)and I think I genuinely got a fair deal.

Don't own a digital camera but will see if I can get a picture scanned if poss.

cheers guys.....go buy some !

ps Ian ...will try and make it sunday am...if not you can have a look some other time ?

Andy,

You are looking at a proud owner of the new OZ's the will be with me on Wed.

A word of advice on the pic it shows a metal valve and cap (only silver) the wheels & tyres come staight from the suppliers to the store in Essex, ready balanced etc, these will be fitted with black rubber valves.

Check it out, if you want the metal valves the will need to be pre-ordered in cost of valves £10 + vat

Let me know
