Hi,

I fitted recently the Prodrive/Alcon brake kit (DS2000 pads) on my car (MY99).

I have to say that the performance is far better than the standard 4-pots. However, I get some anoying noise while braking lightly.

Is there something I can do to get rid of it (the noise, of course )?

Thanks in advance,

António Correia Jr.

I don't think so. The DS2000's are a high performance pad so when used lightly they may squeal. Should be OK once they're up to temperature though. It's a common occurence with most high performance pads, and sometimes an incorrect bedding-in procedure can worsen the problem.

Hi Stef,

Thanks for your reply.
Following an advice from a friend, I took the brakes to the max two or three times (I was assuming that my Subaru dealer had completed the bedding-in procedure successfully...).

The problem is gone

Thanks,
