He's recommending the wrong tyre sizes. Prodrive recommend 205/45/17 (limited tyre choice - PZeros, Dunlop SP9000) or the one with the closet rolling circumference is 215/40/17 (wider choice of tyres - including the much favoured Bridgestone SO2 PP's, Toyo Proxies TS-1, Goodyear F1)
I think the Prodrive wheels are called the PD7. I stole this piccie from the Scoobymania website, but this is what they look like only in dark grey:
Can't comment on the Continentals as I've never used them!
Bridgestones - Brilliant, high wear
Dunlop SP9000 - Crap, SO2's are better before they're scubbed in!!!
PZeros - Good, more progressive than SO2's, but not as good grip!
I'm using PZero's at the mo, but will change to SO2's again when they wear out!!!

Andy,
Thanks for the info they guy got his sizes wrong it was as you said, the wheels are the pd7's.
Anyone got a piccy of the wheels on a car as i cant find one anywhere,is 52 mm offset correct,i take it it must be if these are prodrive and it is moulded on the rear.
cheers Pete

Got my pd7's for 140 plus vat each!! 150 plus vat at dealers! sorry i dont have a pic with them on my car but the anthracite doesnt half get dirty in these conditions
As for tyres go for bridgestone so2 pp's 215/40/17. As they are an official subaru accessory you dont have to worry about the offset these alloys are made by speedline for prodrive
