Switching to 17"
#1
I want to fit 17" wheels on my Type-R Version 6.
What tyres should I go for? (considering that in my country there's sunshine 280 days a year)
Any suggestions on wheels in gold?
Any photos of mica blue Imprezas on gold 17s?
Any help appriciated.

I had Speedline double spoke alloys on my Terzo and they looked good.
Now I have Oz SuperTurismo's and they look even better!
Have taken pictures of the SuperTurismo's but not yet scanned.

I have a DBM with gold OZ Super Ts. The OZs look a lot better than the scoobysport MIMs, the pic on SS site will do you no favours! almost put me off getting OZs, but now they are fitted, they look superb.
I have taken some pics of my new clear lenses to post - wheels should be visable.

GaryC/Bajie,
How much did you pay for your SuperT's?
I have been quoted £1300 for a gold set of 17's with 215/40 SO2's. Does this sound right? I thought it was quite expensive.

I bought my wheels from Ben at Scoobymania so you can check out their site or send an email to Ben.
I have Michelin Pilots, 215/40 VR which cost approx. 155 each including getting them balanced and wheel allignment.

ChrisG,
£1300 sounds average. I paid FIM 13.000,- for a set of Speedline 2116 Gold 17" and Pirelli Pzero 205 myself. I should have paid more, since Pzeros where more expensive then Michelins, but they had run out of Michelins.
1 GBP = 9.8 (around 10) Finnish Marks.
On the other hand, if you are about to be screwed, I already was.

There are 2 types of the O.Z Super Ts. The limited edition run in gold manufactured in Japan and the traditional ones.
The traditional ones are the real deal motorsport ones as used by the WRC Team and upon closer inspection, the P1 although I may be a little wrong there but would put money on being right. Never been a good gambler!!
They are available in white, blue, black, gold and silver and cost £146.20 each + VAT. The Ltd edition ones in gold are £215 + VAT each.
For a picture of the Gold ltd edition Super Ts see the front cover of Japanese Performance Mag this month.
Kind regards
Ben

I was thinking about getting some in silver a while ago but read a few times that only the special gold version would fit. No use for me.
Anyway Ben told me today that the standard ones do fit even with the Scoobymania 6pot AP kit. I'd better start saving again.

Got the Scoobysport rims with S02 for a little over 1100 pounds. I went for the dark grey ones. It handles alot better now. It is way more responsive. But the roads seem to be wet hear and I don't now how the wear but there grip is excellent.
