Just bought some MY2000 16s off ebay with nearly new goodyear F1s on - advertised as just been removed from a classic so didn't bother to check tyre size but turns out they're fitted with 215/40s rather than 205/50s as i was expecting.

Anyone got any thoughts on how these will compare with the 195/55/15s that are on my Sport at the mo (I think - cant check till tomorrow - cars with Len @ Subaru4U at the mo!). Putting them through the online tyre calculators shows up that they'll be 2.9% slower - but how does this show up in the real world? I do most of my driving around town/country roads with little motorway work.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
