Hi all,

I have just had a very worrying phone conversation with Elite in Essex, the price of 4 215/40 17 S-02 PP tyres has gone up a bit since i bought my last set from them, I paid 504 for them fitted then, worked out about 107 a tyre plus. The price they are quoting now is 142.95 each or 695 fitted for a set of 4. Thats nearly 200 quid a set dearer now. I just called Micheldever but they are shut this afternoon, has anybody bought these tyres in the last week for a more sensible price ???

I used them when i bought 5 17" Rims and Yokos for my Golf a while back. At the time they were £30+VAT a tyre cheaper!! than Elite for the Yoko 17" AVS. I imagine they might be competive on the Bridgestones too

I had to visit Guilford TC whilst at B&C this morning as i had a slow puncture on my 2 week old car!. They were most professional and courteous and did not mark my ST2s. Recommended!

Well, I phoned Micheldever and they can do them for £137.80 inclusive, thats 551.20 for 4. I rang Elite again to see if i had misheard, £143 plus vat plus £5 fitting, grand total of £173 per tyre. I told him i could get them cheaper, he said they could not do them for that price ???? They have seriously gone down in my opinion now
