I have 18" 225/40/18 P Zero's and I can't fault them. At that price you can't go wrong.

Personally I think they are the best tyres for a scooby. I have them on my type R and swear by them.
Just out of curiousity where are you getting them for that price, and what size are they??

Very good dry tyres, but a nightmare in the wet.
I'm no driving expert, and probably can't tell the difference between most tyres in the dry, but when i changed from Zero's to Toyo's i couldn't believe the wet weather difference between them
PS - Toyo's are much cheaper too

gotta agree with brun and coulty, my 225/35/18 tramline like buggery (could just be the 18's though). very good predictable dry grip but let go very quickly in the wet.

not a bad tyre with summer coming up but you'll have to make it thru the greasy winter/spring roads first

Can't understand that I'd say exactly the oposite...

I had 5 sets of Bridgstone S02 and S03's on my BM 330. AND THEY ALL TRAMLINED like mad! not bad grip and ok in the wet...
I got my Scoob with P Zero Nero... 225/40/18 same size as the BM had, and they are excelent! No tramilning, i put it down to a BM trait!

Not So, put my original STi wheels back on the the bad weather, and guess what... Was all over the place... just like the BM...
Put the P's back on the other week and it feels great again...

Thing is; read Autocar's very comprehancive tyre tests and they say exactly the same...!
Also the Pireli's are consistently the best of the tests... Get hold of a back issue with the last trye test in... you'll see what i mean...
Also I've never read a test that says the Pirelis tram...
When I had the BM i would have stood by the S02's and that was after 135k miles in 3 years... but now I'm converted to pirelis and can see why they do so well in the tests.... IMHO...

Hope this helps...

Have to say looking forward to the bridgestones going as they tramline like mad, nearly ended up in a tree putting on my seatbelt when driving off home tonight!

Bring on the P Zero's

I'd be careful when comparing tyres and saying the Pzero is good/bad. There are a few different flavours.... the nero, corsa, rosso and assimetrico. The most commonly found being the assimetrico. I have these on my Prodrive (17") alloys at the moment and can't wait to get them off. Fine in the dry but hopeless in the wet and near lethal in the damp. The Toyos i had on before this were far better. However the new Nero is the one winning all the tyre tests and getting very good reviews. I'm hoping to try these next if i can find a good supplier (or if not Goodyear F1s).

Tony.

iirc the pirelli comes as rosso asimmetrico and system asimmetrico types and n2 , n3 and n4 varieties!

its a minefield if u ask me cause i ahve no idea what the difference is (assuming the pattern or compound?)

My last impreza came with falkens! - Big no no!

Think its a case of try them and if you find a good tyre u like stick to them!

Have to say tony what you are saying seems well experienced and alot of people here say toyos are the best in the wet but i am a coward in the wet and tip toe around anyway!

i have pirellis on mine. 205/50R16 PZERO assimetrico ones. and they are 110%. a pzero nero are a complety different tread compared to pzero assimetrico.
when you say they tramline is that the same as it handles like its on railes then.
bridgestones must be the worst tyre i have driven on for grip in dry or wet. toyo`s are in my opion are economy tyres. so you get what you pay for. and goodyears well bad year.
but know matter what we all have my tyres your tyre are always better. it all comes down to what sort of driver you are how you drive and how the car is set up.

never had a problem with tramlining, althogh wet conditions were too much for the pirelli's

am now using Hankook ventus sport, were half the cost of the P Zero's and work much better in dry & wet conditions
