I own a MY99 and at my 12500km service I was told that the front brake pads were burned (and severely used) and they are not expected to last more than 3000km. Futhermore the front discs seem to have suffered quite a lot and had small defects showing up.
In Greece the front pads (both) cost the equivalent of 120 pounds!!!!!! Is this the case in the UK? Is there a cheaper option maybe from Tarox but without changing anything else in the braking system?
What is even more weird is that the front discs cost 100 pounds!!! It is the first time in my life that I hear of discs being cheaper than pads!
