Default Fitting EBC Pads

After a long hassle getting front discs and pads fitted I attempted to change the rear pads.

After having one of the caliper bolts shear off (nice) and having to buy a whole new caliper thanks to the threads being stripped I got the pads fitted and have bedded them in.

When doing the rear either side had the pads fitted differently (previous owner was alien to doing proper work) so I took a guess and put the pads on with the metal loops on the outside.

Now when looking at the rear discs there is a small amount of the disc that hasnt been touched on each inside - can I conclude that I am in the running for numpty of the week and have fitted wrong way round ?

PS Lots of brake dust from the pads - they do fade under pressure and were a bit of a waste of time

Default EBC Pads

assuming they are fitted correctly have you fitted greenstuff or redstuff
we would only recommend redstuff for the impreza
if you have green fitted exchange them at your local stockist for redstuff front and rear

I was under the impression that the red stuff didnt work too well from cold - this is why I opted for the green stuff as the twisties are right out my back door and the driving standards around here (specially on a sunday) mean you need them straight away.

I might change once they wear - but still need to know they are fitted correctly - its a 90 mile trip to my local specialist

BTT

the metal "loops" should be facing the inside of the car!! when the pads wear this comes into contact with the caliper body and 'squeals' to let you know.....................
