Default Classic MY00 Offset

Would a 48mm offset be ok for the above car in 17" and 18" wheels and also 235-35-18 tyre or 205-40-17 trye.

Offset: 48mm
Size: 17 x 7.5
or 18 x 7.5
Bolt Patern: 5 x 100

Thanks...

Should be fine. Anywhere between 45 and 50mm.

MY00 with 215/40/17 ET48 do rub at the rear when suspension is compressed, I had to modify the arch trim.

Others have had no problem with ET48.

Hold on! I think you're heading for problems.

Biggest wheel you can fit for sure is 17x7, ET50. Don't go wider than 7in, and off-sets like ET48 often cause problems - depends on the tyre and the car (UK models have a plastic trim in the rear wheel arch which tends to rub).

235mm tyres won't fit.

In my view, biggest you can fit for sure is 215/40x17 on 17x7in rims, ET50+ Anything bigger or wider than this, I would fit to the car first and take for a bumpy drive. Tricky, I know, but you could make a very costly mistake.

Richard.

Thanks for all the replies and I'm not to sure what to think but as Richard said I don't want to end up with a costly mistake. What throws me on this one is that the dealer said it was perfect for my car....

Sonic74f,
Check your tyre size as well, 205/40/17 is not a prefered size for the classic, you need 215/40/17.

Cool

I have 215/40/17 ET48 on mine and the car is also lowered by 40mm front 35mm rear with KW variante 1 suspension and I have no probs with tyres rubbing even when throwing it round corners
