Just bought 17s for my my00. Good choice I thought- particularly coming back from France yesterday with 4 of us and boot full of lager! No risk of rubbing and less chance of kerbing imho than 18s. 18s do look good though..

Thumbs up

Definately go for 18's, you won't regret it. I have them on my MY00 and they look spot on. Just make sure you get 215-35/18 tyres, Toyo Proxes T1/S are the tyres to get as they are about 92 pounds each on mytyres.net and handle very well. The ride quality will also suprise you as it is not to much diferent from standard.

Mike

Edited to say I have had no rear arch rubbing problems even with 4 people in.

I have had 17"s and now have 18" OZ's on my MY00 with Toyo 215 35 18 tyres and the car definately handles and turns in loads better but it tramlines much more with the 18"s.

many thanks,

my only worry with going for 18's was that i wasn’t sure if there would be any rubbing or fowling of the arches so thought 17's would be better for all round running - I don't quite understand the "off sets" and what would suit the car best

Cheers

Wink

Get the 18's Jezza, I've got them on my 98 classic and even with a car full haven't had and rubbing at all, plus it's lowered 35mm.

Only problem is, when you get them on after about say 6 months you'll want 19's!!
