Question

I have an MY96 UK Turbo with a funny sort of problem!!!

Initially I thought the problem was to do with the drive shaft/CV on the N/S/F, so I changed the shaft which cured part of the problem (problem being a knackered CV Joint).

But there is still a noise when you press the brake pedal. It's a kind of squeeking noise as if the brakes are binding, but when travelling slowly the noise is very loud and constant with every turn of the wheel.

When checking the calliper it seems to be worn more than the other side and I can generate a quieter version of the noise described above by moving the calliper around, rocking it slightly. Could this be worn slide pins??

The other thing I've noticed is that when you reverse and press the brake pedal, the pedal dissapears to the floor. When you drive forward again the pedal requires a couple of pumps to get it back to the top again.

If anyone has got any suggestions for what I might try it would be appreciated as It's now got me banging my head against the wall repeatedly
