just spent over a grand on some new 18`s for my baby but its finnaly happened after a month my first contact with a curb!!what a mess it makes at such low speeds.

is there any good products to touch it back up?

you see pics of scoob`s with nice big wheels on that dont have a mark on them how do you not hit the curb. even little tiny curbs about an inch high will scuff the wheel

any info on keeping my wheels looking nice would be most greatfull

if it gets to being bad then i will refurb them but there must be a way of not having to do that so soon.

know how you feel.Cubed ny OZ wheels a couple o months ago and what a mess it makes. Luckily one of e guys on here had a replacement. But if you do a quick search you may find threads on wheel clean up, but as to keeping them looking pristine.Only one way i know and that is to drive down the middle of the road....

A lot of new performance tyres are getting a protective lip of rubber which stands proud of the wheel. Investigate when replacements are due and get the wheels refurb'd just before. When manoevering (sp?) close to the kerb I err on caution and always turn more towards the kerb so the flat of the tyre hits letting you know exactly where you are, but accidents happen, it's only a matter of time usually.

Toyo Rim Flange Protector (ooh errr, missus)
Many Toyo ultra high-performance tires feature a specially-designed protruding ridge along the circumference of the tire.

This ridge extends beyond the width of the wheel rim and acts as a bumper to protect the wheel from scratches and other damage. In other words, the tire ridge, not the expensive wheel, hits the curb.

Have a look here
If they can get this dent out, they must be good. LOL

I have a set of 19" on mine, touch wood no damage here. Its my fourth set of 19" and i havent really had too many probs. Look for a wheel restorer, shouldnt be more than £40 a wheel. Other than that i dont mount and kerbs unless i can get over them pretty much straight on.
