What brake set up should a my99 V5 WRX have as standard. Mine has 2 pots which i find hard to understand as uk cars the same age have far less power but get 4 pots.

Sure its 99 spec. Facelift model. Registered May 99 as personal import. full history since the day it was born.

definately should have "subaru" 4pots, easily identified by the white "subaru" lettering dow the side!!.........think someone has been changing a few things.......

Definetly scabby old 2 pots so god only knows how they got on there. First time iv heard of a brake downgrade:

Didn't the standard WRX come with the two pots, I'm sure someone said once that only the STI's used the four pots!

Hi Black,

Just bought my first scoob today (Saturday). I'm in Japan so it is obviously a JDM car. It's a MY99 WRX Wagon and I've just been checking out the brakes as they are none too impressive and I definitely need an upgrade.

Guess what, no Subaru lettering on the side of the calipers! So does that mean they are 2 pot ? Looks like it, but not seen any pictures of a 2 pot caliper so not 100% (can anyone post some pics ?)

May post another thread because I think I might have trouble getting parts here, or rather getting information about which parts from Japanese suppliers are equivalent to Mintex etc

get the brembo 4 pot kit from the reddot brembo groupbuy
here
i got the 305mm kit that fits under the 16" wheels on my 95wrx
only cost £758incVat and delivery.Discs pads, calipers, braded hoses
