What offset should i use?

What offset should be used for 18inch wheels on a 99 classic (import)
I was thinking 50mm? also been told that if its wrong they'l rub the rear arches?
Has anyone had problems with this?

Hi Gary (again!!)

50mm will be fine on the classic with 18's and 215/35x18 tyres. Had Radius R3's on mine a couple of years ago.
