Unhappy

I have changed the pads about 1000 Miles ago, also did the disc at same time (all 4 corners) bleed the system. A couple of days ago the brake warning/hand brake light came on and stayed on for 10-15mins then when out. and today it came on and stayed on. There is plenty of fluid and plenty of meat on the pads. any ideas welcome.

Ed

PS the handbrake is off. also the car is a 96 import wrx wagon automatic.

When you say there is plenty of fluid, do you mean full? I have to keep mine up to 3 or 4 mm above the full mark or the light comes on. MY93 WRX.

if all is correct as you suggest then the most obvious would be a faulty sensor........

Question

Is the float in the reservoir floating properly?

Mine occasionally gets stuck, so the car thinks it has little or no fluid. Quick tap with a screwdriver to unstick it normally works if this is the cause of the problem.
