I've had my Turbo wagon MY96 for 2 months now and I love it.

It came with the standard 15" Turbo alloys which looked pretty naff.Luckily I still owned my last car, Alfa 164 Cloverleaf. The alloys I'd upgraded to where TSW Reflex 17's with the same bolt pattern of 5x100mm....GREAT!

Wheels went straight on and yes, I was aware that the offset is different.....no problem until now.

I took a friend of mine out in the Scoob tonight and as you do, I tried and succeeded in impresing him. The problem now is that the rear wheels on extreme cornering and driving through severe road depressions are definately rubbing on the rear arches.

The way I see things, I've got 3 options ( I think ):

1) Obviously, replace wheels with correct offset type.

2) Have the offset machined to suit the car ( my preference )

3) Have the arches rolled.

Now, this is where I need your help. Which option is more financially viable, I really like the wheels and would like to keep them on the car. Can alloys be re-machined to the correct offset? How major a job is having the arched rolled?

I apologise for the length of this post but I need some advice rather rapid.

Cheers all.

Skoosh.

i would advise that you find a decent local engineering firm and have a chat with them about possibly taking a few mm of the offset.

They should be able to provide you with a solution.
