Just got the Prodrive 330mm brake kit.
I thought that these came with 2500 pads, but on the back of them it says:
PDBP (prodrive brake pad?) 733S.4
P-F 2
096
Anyone know what these are??? I don't want to put em on and find out they are those 3000's that caused all the warranty issues.

Sorry, I can't help but have a couple of questions....
Did you purchase them via your local Subaru dealership or are they available independently at a saving?
Finally, Ive been looking through some of the threads from the past and there are so many topics that I'm getting a little confused - obviously you rate this set up (or at least expect it to perform) but how is it generally regarded to other options?
Cheers
John
Edit --> doh! seen youve asked your question over on the general forum now...will hold back my silly newbie questions over there for now and see if anyone chimes in here......

Hi mate - was lucky and got them from a friend a LOT cheaper. Otherwise you have to really get them from Subaru as Prodrive are a Subaru affiliate.
They are pretty expensive to buy from Subaru - about £1500, and the calipers are only 4 pot. You can nearly get AP 6-pots for that. However, on the upside the pots are MASSIVE and the caliper covers almost half the disc
They also have very good venting and look the dogs danglies.
The discs are one-piece, 330mm, with very deep grooves and spiral venting the interior of the bell, which again helps with cooling.
Best of all, these are covered by warranty.
You can see them here
Will write up my thoughts once they are fitted.

Cheers for the reply mate, thats really helpful.
I figured that you could only really get them from Subaru...but was hoping, lol!
I'm interested in them because I want to try and not get anything aftermarket as such (yet) as long as the items are up to the job...plus I hopefully will keep the warranty fully intact then.
I will keep an eye out for your thoughts on them,
Cheers again,
John

Me and steve have the alcons and they are really good. Done about 20 track days with them and no probs with them. Not sure of the part number though?
Are they new pads, what colour are they?

Yeah its a brand new kit. The pads are black, with 2 grooves, and are much more 'gritty' than standard pads....look like a cross-section of granite or something. I'm pretty sure Prodrive specify 2000's now?
