Question

First: Can I fit 235/40-17" tyres and a 8,5 x 17" wheels (offset 48 mm) to Sti8 without rubbing and modding the wheel arches? Second: Can I fit 225/40-18" tyres and a 8 x 18" wheels (offset 48 mm) to STi8 without rubbing and modding the wheel arches?
Any information and advice accepted.

Thanks,
Halldór

Not an answer I am afraid, but an addition to the thread. Sorry to hijack it but it seemed appropriate.

I am having the PPP fitted to the STI8 and have read that 18" wheels are recommended.

Standard fitment is 17 x 7.5" and the Subaru site lists 18 x 7.5" options, but if I am going to a bigger rim I would also want to go wider to get the full benefit. The prodrive site lists various 18 x 8" rims and directs you back to the Subaru site for information but this does not exist when you get there.

My question is, does anyone know what these 18 x 8" rims are that are mentioned on the Prodirve site Prodrive
and does anyone have experience, opinions on 18 x 7.5" versus 18 x 8" rims. Obviously I would put a wider tyre on the 18 x 8" rim.

Thanks

Mike
