do you have ABS?? could be the air is trapped here or in the rear circuit..........bleed diagonally with the brake split, this might help!

What exactly do you mean bleed horizontally? I'm experiencing problems as well, we have abs, and have put braided lines on to replace a ruptured rear pipe, so quite alot of air has gone in the system. I've been told to get a pressure bleed tank etc, anyone know where I can get one in the uk? Any help out there cos' it's doing my head in

"DIAGONALLY"!!
in general, on all road cars you have a brake 'split' so that one part of the brake system covers a front and diagonally opposite rear (i.e. left front with right rear / right front with left rear)........therefore you should always bleed system with system in the 'split', rather than doing the fronts and then rears, etc.
also on ABS cars you should also 'bleed' the abs pump to relieve any air trapped here...........
feel free to email me for any specific advice,
