During the lovely weather we had over Christmas I hit a kerb quite vigorously on my way home from work. Since then the steering wheel has juddered upon braking, but only upon braking, it is not present at any other time. I can also feel the juddering through the pedal slightly. I thought I had maybe damaged some part of the steering or something, but my friend said it had to be warped brake discs with the symptoms I have. Any ideas ppl?

could be you have slightly buckled wheel or knoked it out of balance at the least, this can sometimes be felt under braking...........or could be you've damaged the disc, loosened the caliper, etc. - you really need this checked asap.......

That is the symptoms of warped brake disks.
This can happen by just sitting with your foot on the brake when the disks are very hot.

The 'incident' with the kerb suggests you've damaged/moved the disc which is now not sitting true on the hub. The only way to tell for certain is to get the hub/disc alignment checked (during next service would be cheaper if you can put up with vibration).

Might be worth stripping the wheel off and checking caliper/disc/hub etc to pick up any visual signs of damage.

If that doesn't highlight anything - get it checked out by Dealer or tuning place - careful of the £££ though
