Question

I'm looking to replace my MY2000 Turbo with an STI '03 but SWMBO is not at all keen on the gold alloys. No problem, says I, we can trade them in against a set of Prodrive 18"'s. BUT I discover that dealers,at least my local one anyway, won't do that or at least will only offer a pittance despite the fact that they'd charge you £325.36 (inc VAT) if you ever needed to replace one.

Wanted to know if anyone else had any experience of this, what they've done, is there a demand for delivery mileage STI alloys and tyres and if so what they're worth? Sorry, lots of questions but I NEED that car and I can't afford an extra £1800.

Seen the alloys selling in the for sale section for £650-£800.
