Question

Will the sti7 wheels fit on a MY00 classic, I know they are 7.5" wide but what is the offset and are there any problems with rubbing?

I tried a set on my last type R/A (1994) and the rears rubbed quite badly with the standard tyres (think they were 225s)

thanks for your reply
I know the standard tyres are to wide but would they fit ok with 215/40's and is there a problem with that extra half inch in the width of the wheel

Wink

They should fit fine- the 225s don't clear the arches on my STi but the 215s should be ok (they only catch on the outside couple of mm's). I'm not sure what effect changing to 215s will have on the rolling radius and speedo reading accuracy though- someone cleverer than me needs to answer that!

I believe they fit with 215/40 no problem, there are a few Classic shaped cars with MY01+ wheels on which run with no problem, if you are running 225's then you will get rubbing issues.
