i am fitting four pots on soon, and well after gettingthe callipers and discs already i am just awaiting for the pads, though i wonder if you get the pins and plate with the pads or should i ask the person i got the callipers off, or just buy new ones??

HK the pins and shim plates are not supplied with the pads, you should try the person you bought them of, there is also a spring wire that locks the pins in.
