Brake Disc Groove rotation & Induction Kit?
#1
Purchased EBC grooved discs and Green stuff pads for my 95 Subaru turbo wagon: The paperwork that came with the discs illustrated the grooves facing the rear of the vehicle (opposite rotation from wheel rotation). Have since been advised to check this I have seen cars with disc groove rotation running the same as the wheel rotation.
Can anyone advise?
Please can anyone suggest a prefered induction kit for my car? (Not a lot of space due to the ABS unit)

The grooves on EBC should face the back of the car as in the paper work that comes with them, as you brake any hot gas and dust gets vented out from between the pad and the disc and is accelerated with the groove passing the pad, if it was the other way the gas/dust would be held around the pad until the groove rotated past.

If you have lots of grooves they tend to sweep back (ie the outside end lags behind the inner end in the direction of rotation). My 40 groove Taroxs are fitted this way round. If you have a few grooves (up to eight) I believe they ten to be fitted the other way round (ie the outside end leads the inner end in the direction of rotation).

anybody fitted EBC grooved discs then?
Paperwork shows 'offside' disc with groove sweeping to the left, anticlockwise.
-am I right in pressuming 'offside' to be kerbside?
any thoughts on Induction kits then?
